In discussions about the resurrection of Jesus, it’s often claimed that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence (ECREE). Is this claim true? A few months ago the BBC website  covered an uncanny and singular event in Sri Lanka, where  a hen gave birth to a chick without an egg.

Sometimes critics of religious belief are willing to grant that there is some plausibility to the idea of a cosmic Creator and Designer, but they will argue that such a being is a long way from the Christian God.
