Recently, there has been a deafening demand for a more tolerant and progressive view of marriage in Northern Irish churches. That creates a problem for any elder or minister who wants to follow Jesus’ teaching. When it comes to marriage, Jesus’s beliefs are just going to annoy moderns.

In the last article about the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, Graham included a statement about the Christian gospel and how offensive it is:

“The Christian gospel is already offensive enough”

I recoiled, and for a moment began to think, “Is it?
